My name is Gimhan Sooriyabandara. I am an Attorney at Law at the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka and I teach Media and Law part time (specialized in English medium) I have a Master's degree from University of Kelaniya, a Bachelor's degree from University of Colombo and have passed the Attorney examination at Sri Lanka Law College. I am coming from a family background of big influence in media as both my mother's family as well as father's family are heavily involved in Sri Lankan media. I am currently working as a consultant for the program The Debater with AAT Sri Lanka on Sirasa TV. Apart from that I have also worked in APIIT Law School, St. Peter's College, Muslim Ladies' College, Gateway College Colombo, Ananda Balika Vidyalaya and Ilma International Girls' School as the English Debating coach. I have written 10 books including a series of best selling Sinhala novels with Sarasavi Publishers. In addition to teaching Media I am capable of providing you career guidance in case if you have plans to pursuing Law or Media as your profession.
